We are Jennifer and Julie, and we're thrilled to take on the role of co-chairs for the 2024 event! We both have multiple children attending Acton Schools and with the support of a dedicated team of volunteers, we'll are excited to plan an unforgettable event for your kids and have  some exciting surprises for the 2024 Project Graduation.

What is Project Graduation?

Project Graduation is an exclusive all-night, alcohol and drug-free celebration for Acton-Boxborough Regional High School (ABRHS) graduating seniors in Acton, Massachusetts. Run by dedicated parent volunteers and community members since 1989, this event is held on graduation night from 10 pm to 5 am.

Each year, the Project Graduation committee (built from some awesome pay it forward parents and community members) selects a surprise theme to transform the high school, which is revealed to the seniors at 9:30 pm. An open house for the community is held from 8:00-9:00 pm before the festivities begin.

With over 90% of the senior class attending, this event boasts live entertainment, arcade games, psychics, crafts, a casino, food, and much more. 

Project Graduation is a non-profit organization (Tax ID: 04-3116032) operating independently of the school budget and is fully funded through generous donations from family, the community and local businesses.

• Friday June 7, 2024 10pm-5am

• Community Open House: 8-9pm at ABRHS Auditorium Entrance

• Event doors open for seniors at 9:30pm at the ABRHS Auditorium Entrance

• What to bring: ID, $ for tickets if not prepaid, yearbook **nothing else is allowed

Top 10 Things to Know About  ABRHS Project Graduation 

1. What is Project Graduation? Grad Night is a safe, substance-free, all-night “lock-in” party for the ABRHS senior class held at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School (ABRHS). The goal is to keep our teens safe and include the entire graduating class in one final celebration!

2. When is Grad Night? Grad Night is on graduation night, Friday, June 7th, 2024 from 10 pm to 5 am. Check-in is between 9:30 and 11 pm in the ABRHS Auditorium, doors open at 10 pm.

3. How much are tickets? Tickets are $25 per student  If you purchase your ticket by May 26th your name will be entered in a raffle for a $100 Amazon gift card.

4. What are the events?  Food, games, karaoke, casino, crafts, temporary tattoos, caricatures, a mechanical bull and so much more! Also tons of prizes and scholarships! We will end the evening with a game show and many opportunities to win prizes!

5. What is new for 2024? ……..  We have some surprises in store for you!!

6. Is this an overnight event for everyone? This is a “lock-in” event. Graduates, regardless of age, may NOT leave Grad Night early without permission and transportation by a parent/guardian. We ask that all parents/guardians be available by phone from 10 pm to 5 am in case of emergency and parents (or students over 18) MUST sign a waiver when purchasing tickets.  

7. What are the rules? While Grad Night is not a school-sponsored event, school rules still apply. Graduates are expected to be respectful to volunteers staffing the event, to their fellow graduates, and to school property.

8. What is the waiver for? A signed waiver is required to attend Grad Night and a signed waiver is needed to ride the mechanical bull as well as a liability waiver. Students 18+ may sign both themselves; otherwise they must be signed by a parent/guardian.

9. What can I or do I need to bring? All you need to bring is an ID, $30 if you haven't prepaid, a signed waivers (if they were not completed online)…, your phone, a sweatshirt because it’s cold in the school, and your yearbook.  Graduates must not bring any bags. A clear bag will be provided upon arrival for your belongings.

10. No outside food or drink permitted; plenty will be provided.
